Easy Sugar Free Apple Cookies

These sugar-free apple cookies are a delicious and healthy choice for kids’ breakfast or snack time! They’re ready in under 20 minutes and made with wholesome ingredients that provide energy for both children and adults. Perfect for school, lunchboxes, or a guilt-free sweet snack at home.

Ingredients you’ll need

  • About 300 g oats
  • 1 large apple (grated)
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 150 g walnuts, almonds, or other nuts
  • 3 tbsp raisins
  • 3–4 tbsp olive oil
  • Juice of 1 orange
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • Zest of 1 orange

Step-by-step instructions

1. Prepare the base

Place the oats in a food processor and blend until they become almost flour-like.
Transfer them to a large bowl.

2. Add the wet ingredients

Puree the apple (or grate it).
Dissolve the baking soda in the orange juice — it will foam slightly, which is normal.
Add all the ingredients to the bowl: apple, honey, olive oil, raisins, nuts, cinnamon, baking powder, and vanilla.

3. Shape the cookies

Mix until you get a soft dough that doesn’t stick to your hands.
Shape small balls and gently press them to flatten.
Place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.

4. Baking

Bake at 180°C (fan-assisted), on the middle rack, for 10–15 minutes, until lightly golden.

Tip: Don’t overbake — they should remain slightly soft in the center.
